From January 1, the changes in fees for the driving license test come into force. The voivodship council will decide on their final amount. However, the new regulations give the possibility of introducing much higher rates than in previous years.
The new regulations also allow for the transfer of targeted or subject-specific subsidies from the voivodeship budget to the Voivodeship Road Traffic Center for the implementation of public tasks.
Subsidies for WORDs
Subsidies for WORDs will not be able to exceed 50 percent. its operating costs. The rules for granting subsidies, the procedure for granting them and the method of their settlement shall be determined by the voivodship assembly, by way of a resolution constituting an act of local law. The subsidy will be granted on the basis of an agreement concluded by the voivodeship marshal with the director of the centre.
In addition, the act indicates that instead of the regulation, the conditions of remuneration of examiners will be determined by the provincial assembly, by way of a resolution constituting an act of local law, guided by the nature of the work performed by examiners and the need to ensure an appropriate level of performance of their tasks. The conditions of remuneration of examiners specified in the resolution of the regional assembly may not be less favorable than those existing so far.
Changes in exam fees
The amendment also introduces changes to the Act of 5 January 2011 on vehicle drivers. According to them, the amount of the fee for conducting the state exam will be determined by the provincial assembly, by way of a resolution constituting an act of local law, while the amount of the fee for conducting the theoretical part of the exam in the scope of each category of driving license may not exceed PLN 50, and the fee for conducting the practical part of the exam may not exceed PLN 50. may not exceed PLN 200 or PLN 250 depending on the category.
Before the amendment, the fee for the theory test for a passenger car driving license was PLN 30, and for the practical test – PLN 140.
The maximum fee rates will be changed annually for the next calendar year to the extent corresponding to the average annual price index of consumer goods and services in general, announced by the President of the Central Statistical Office. In the current legal status, the amount of the fee is determined by the minister competent for transport in consultation with the minister competent for internal affairs and the Minister of National Defence, by way of a regulation.
