Almost two and a half per mille of alcohol in the body had a driver who hit another car in Końskie (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship) and drove into a building while fleeing the scene of the collision. He will be held accountable for his behavior.
The incident happened around noon on Monday in Końskie. It all started with a collision on the street on January 16, where the driver of a Volkswagen collided with a BMW. According to the police, he did not keep the proper distance from the vehicle in front of him and thus led to the collision.
Police: the driver had almost 2.5 per mille
Staff sergeant Marta Przygodzka from the police in Końskie informed that after the collision the driver of the Volkswagen left. And during the escape – according to the police – he drove off the road and hit a building on Kazanowska Street.
– It turned out that the vehicle was driven by a 40-year-old resident of Końskie, whose body was close to two and a half per mille of alcohol. No one was injured as a result of the incident, Przygodzka told us.
The man was arrested and will now be charged with driving while intoxicated. There is also liability for causing a collision. – We are waiting for him to sober up, then he will be interrogated – a spokeswoman for the horse police said on Tuesday.
