A 7-year-old girl who was riding a bicycle was attacked by three dogs. The animals got out of a fenced and locked property in Gucin, Mazovia. The girl was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries to both legs. .

As the spokeswoman for the Płońsk police, Kinga Drężek-Zmysłowska, announced on Tuesday, an investigation is underway in the case of biting a 7-year-old girl, which concerns “the dog owner’s failure to take precautions when keeping animals”. The incident took place on July 1 in Gucin, in the Nowe Miasto commune, when three dogs suddenly ran out onto the road from the property.

– According to police findings, the dogs were in a fenced yard near the house, and the gate and gate were locked. However, the dogs found a way to get out onto the road. They probably dug under the fence or damaged it and started chasing a 7-year-old girl riding a bicycle. The attacked girl fell over. As she emphasized, the injuries suffered by the 7-year-old girl required more than 20 stitches. – It is likely that the owner of the dogs who committed the offense will be sent to the court for punishment – ​​said the spokeswoman for the Płońsk police.

Article 77 of the Petty Offenses Code provides that whoever fails to take precautions when keeping an animal is subject to restriction of liberty, a fine of up to PLN 1,000, or a reprimand, and if the lack of such caution poses a threat to human life or health, it is punishable by restriction of liberty, a fine or punishment of reprimand.
