A teenager who exceeded the speed limit in a built-up area lost his driving license. The police also issued him a fine of PLN 2,000.

On Thursday at 9.15 a traffic police patrol stopped a fast-moving bus for inspection. “The result recorded on a hand-held speedometer showed that the vehicle on Wyszkowska Street in Leszczydol – Nowiny, with the limit in the built-up area to 50 km/h, was driving as much as 111 km/h” – said Damian WroczyÅ„ski, spokesman for the Wyszkow police in the release.

As he added, as a consequence, “for the blatant speed”, the 19-year-old from the OstroÅ‚Ä™ka district was punished with a fine of PLN 2,000 and penalty points. He was also suspended from driving for three months.

“Let us remember that extremely irresponsible behavior, including excessive speed, can lead to tragic accidents. Once again, we appeal for imagination, caution and prudence” – appeals to the police.
