Horseradish. The patient had seven per mille of alcohol in his blood, he was brawling in the ER in the hospital

On Sunday (March 19), around 2 p.m., a completely drunk man arrived at the Emergency Department of the District Hospital in Chrzanów. Earlier, he allegedly argued with the policemen who transported him to the ER. A blood test showed that there was 7.25 per mille of alcohol in his system.

Izabela Kiełbalska, deputy director of medical care at the hospital in Chrzanów, admits that the man probably set a record for the facility as a result of the examination. Previously, he says, there were patients with six per mille of alcohol in the body, but probably no one had more than seven.

– He was a middle-aged man. In this state, he should be unconscious, but he was brawling in the ER anyway. Doctors were forced to fasten him with belts as part of direct coercion – explains the doctor.

We asked how dangerous is the result of seven per mille of alcohol in the body for health and life. – He’s very dangerous. It is assumed that already four per mille are dangerous, five is defined as a lethal dose. It’s an individual thing, apparently this man had a “steel liver”. In addition, during the course of alcohol, the body is able to assimilate more of this harmful substance – emphasizes the deputy director.

The next morning, the man left the hospital as if nothing had happened. “He probably hasn’t sobered up yet, but he was communicative enough to get up and leave on his own,” reports Kiełbalska.
