IMGW alerts – heavy snowfall, frost, icing. Dangerous weather on Friday 7.04

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued meteorological warnings.

Forecasters warn of snowfall in the province Lesser Poland. First degree alerts are in force in the following poviats: Sucha, Nowy Targ, Tatrzański, Myślenice, Limanowski, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Sacz and Gorlice.

Rainfall is forecast there, causing an increase in snow cover of 8 to 13 cm. Alerts will expire at 7 on Friday.

For part of the country, the Ministry of Economy issued first degree alerts against freezing precipitation. They apply in the following provinces:

– Subcarpathianin the counties: Przeworski, Leżajsk, Rzeszów, RzeszowBrzozów, Krosno, loomStrzyżów, Jasło, Ropczycko-Sędziszów, Dębicki, Mielec, Kolbuszów, Tarnobrzeg, Tarnobrzeg, Niżański, Stalowowolski;

– Lesser Polandoutside the following poviats: Tatrzański, Nowy Targ, Suski;

– Silesianoutside the following poviats: Cieszyn, Żywiec, Bielsko, Bielsko-Biała, Pszczyna, Rybnik, Żory, Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Wodzisław, Rybnik, Mikołów, Racibórz;

– Opolein the Oleski and Strzelecki poviats;

– Lodzin the counties of: Łódź, Łódź East, Pabianice, Tomaszów, Opoczno, Piotrków, Piotrkow TrybunalskiBełchatów, Łaski, Wieluń, Pajęczański, Radomsko;

– mazowieckiein the counties of Szydłowiec and Przysucha.

Light freezing rain and ice drizzle are expected. The warnings will expire at 8-9 on Friday.

IMGW forecasters also warn against frost. First level alerts are in force in the following provinces:

– Subcarpathianin the districts of: Jasielski, Strzyżów, Krosno, Krosno, Brzozów, Sanok, Przemyśl, Przemyśl, Lesko, and Bieszczady;

– Lesser Polandin the districts of: Gorlice, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Sącz, Limanowski, Nowy Targ, Tatrzański, Myślenice, Sucha and Wadowice;

– Silesianin the counties: Żywiec, Bielski, Bielsko-Biała, and Cieszyn;

– Lower Silesiain the counties: Kłodzko, Wałbrzych, Wałbrzych, Kamienna Góra, Karkonosze, Jelenia GoraLwówek, Lubań, Zgorzelec;

– West Pomeranianin the counties of: Świnoujście, Kamień, Gryficki, Goleniów, Police, Szczecin, Stargard, Gryfino, Pyrzyce, and Myślibórz.

In the south of the country, where warnings will remain in effect until 10 on Friday, the air temperature is forecast to drop below 0 degrees Celsius at night. In the region of Western Pomerania, the temperature is to drop to about -1 degrees C, at the ground to -2 degrees C and there the alerts will be valid until 7 on the same day.

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the area of ​​​​threat, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation.
