Heads of the ministries of finance and national security, Bezalel Smotricz and Itamar Ben Gvir, threatened during a meeting of the security council that they can overthrow the government, if there is no attack on the city of Rafah.

“Mr Prime Minister, it should be absolutely clear – you don't have a mandate for this!“, he wrote, adding that capitulation to Hamas is “incompatible with the basic principles of the government.”
Israel and Hamas – possible agreement
