The police detained a 22-year-old who broke into a shed in Jarosław (Podkarpackie Voivodeship) and stole a mower from it. Uniforms were led to the premises where the perpetrator hid the stolen equipment, traces left in the snow. In the course of police activities, the police determined that the young man was also responsible for other crimes.
As reported by staff midshipman Anna Długosz, press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Jarosław, at the end of January the duty officer of the Jarosław police station received a report about a break-in to the shed and the theft of a mower. The event took place in Jarosław. – The policemen sent to the place, in the presence of a forensic technician, carried out an inspection, during which they revealed traces of the mower’s wheels in the snow, which ended on the road, at the exit from the property – Anna Długosz reports.
As the policewoman further reports, the officers, moving in a company car, watched the snow-covered roadsides to find the rest of the traces. – At the fork in the road, on the road leading to the buildings, the police revealed further traces. They led to a garage located on one of the properties in the commune of Pabłoniów, says the uniformed officer.

Further activities carried out by criminal police officers led to the identification of the perpetrator of the burglary. According to the police, it turned out to be a 22-year-old resident of the commune of Pawłosiów. During a search of his property, the police found a stolen lawnmower and a bag containing sports shoes, tools and a balaclava. The 22-year-old was taken into police custody.

– In the course of further activities, it turned out that the 22-year-old is also responsible for other crimes. At the beginning of January 2023, he damaged the entrance door to the building of the Social Integration Center in Pawlosiów, causing losses of PLN 5,000. At the end of December 2022, in Jarosław, he stole power tools worth over PLN 3,000 to the detriment of a construction company. He also has an attempted robbery with a dangerous tool, which took place in January 2022 at one of the gas stations in Jarosław, informs the staff officer Anna Długosz.
The evidence collected by the investigators allowed the 22-year-old to be charged with four charges: burglary with theft, theft, damage to property and attempted robbery with a dangerous tool. According to the police, the man confessed to all the charges against me. He’s already in custody.
