The White House announced on Friday that US President Joe Biden will visit Poland on February 20-22. The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Łukasz Jasina, was asked by journalists on Monday about Biden’s planned visit. – I think within 2-3 days the office of President will inform all of us exactly how the visit itself will look like – he said.

– What we are sure of is that the beginning of next week will be one of the diplomatically most important moments of this year, which has just begun. Anyway, this will be an important moment in Polish-American relations because my boss, Mr. Minister Zbigniew Rau exactly minutes after the end of President Biden’s visit, he also goes to the United States and to UNto continue our relations there, he added.

He reminded that this will be Joe Biden’s second visit to Poland. The US president visited Poland for the first time at the end of March last year.

Jasina, when asked whether decisions will be made or talks about strengthening Poland’s security, especially on the eastern flank, will be held, he replied that “such talks always take place”. – As announced by the Chancellery of the President, perhaps the leaders of the countries of the Bucharest Nine, which was originally supposed to gather in Poland at the end of March at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, may also come – he said.
