What can be seen on the monitoring?

Comments appeared on the network in which it was suggested that the girls ran under a bus approaching a pedestrian crossing, and that they used mobile phones while crossing the road. This was not confirmed by the surveillance video.

– An analysis of the monitoring system installed at the school building, as well as city cameras, ruled out that the people involved in the incident used electronic devices when crossing the road. She also ruled out that the girls ran onto the road – prosecutor Szymon Banna, spokesman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, told tvnwarszawa.pl.

Earlier, prosecutor Banna informedthat the monitoring recordings show how the driver of the L39 bus “enters the roundabout, disregarding the rules applicable on it – he enters the middle of the roundabout and partly into the opposite lane – and then, turning left, he hits a girl on the pedestrian crossing “.

There is no arrest, there is police supervision

An application for pre-trial detention against the bus driver was submitted to the District Court in Piaseczno. The court did not accede to our request. He prescribed preventive measures in the form of police supervision, a ban on leaving the country and an obligation to appear at the nearest police station. The prosecutor appealed. The appellate court has not yet considered it. The prosecutor is of the opinion that only pre-trial detention can secure the proper course of the proceedings, Banna emphasised.
