– It is about one of the procedures that was carried out in 2017-2019 and according to the materials we have had so far, there may have been a number of irregularities in one of the procedures. As a result, one of the beneficiaries, a company based in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, was paid an undue subsidy in the amount of about PLN 900,000 – said Jeżyński.

The prosecutor added that the investigators now have to “analyze the content and assess the evidentiary value” of the collected documentation.

According to unofficial information from PAP, the agents were also supposed to secure, among others, e-mail boxes of former and current employees of the office, e.g. former marshal in the years 2006-2018 Adam Jarubas (Polish People’s Party).

– I have nothing to hide – said MEP Adam Jarubas when asked by PAP about the control of officers. He added: – I have not received any notification that there are proceedings that would concern me in any way. I hope that the case will be dealt with in accordance with certain principles and not with a political aim. I’m not sure if it’s not done on the principle: “give a man, and a paragraph will be found.”
