King Charles III. New stamps with the image of the monarch were presented

Stamps with the image of King Charles III will replace those with the image of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Reuters informs. Their official presentation took place on Wednesday. Interestingly, there is no crown on the silhouette of the monarch.

According to the Reuters news agency, Great Britain slowly introduces replacements with the image of the new monarch. Likeness King Charles III it will also appear on coins and banknotes, among others.

The new stamp will go on sale in early April. Existing Queen Elizabeth II stamps will remain valid and will be distributed while supplies last.

This is not the end of the changes associated with Charles III’s accession to the throne. The words of the UK national anthem will be changed to “God Save The King” instead of “God Save The Queen”.

Flags will also need to be changed – from those flying outside police stations across the UK to the flag used by the navy. Thousands of them have the initials EIIR (Elizabeth II Regina) embroidered on them.
