The prosecutor’s office is investigating the circumstances of the accident on the Leżajsk bypass (Podkarpacie). A 38-year-old woman and her son died. According to investigators, the driver of the Citroen did not give way to the Audi driver.
The accident took place on Thursday (April 27) before 5 pm. According to the findings so far, the 38-year-old woman who was driving a Citroen C3 was leaving Jagiełło Street on the national road No. 77, i.e. the Leżajsk bypass. She wanted to turn left.
– She did not give right of way to a passenger car driver Audi A6 driving the road number 77 from the direction of Przeworsk to Nisko. The Audi hit the left side of the Citroen, informed Krzysztof Ciechanowski, spokesman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Rzeszów.

As a result of the collision, a 38-year-old woman and her 16-year-old son died. The 26-year-old Audi driver and his 23-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital. Their life is not in danger. The driver of the Audi was sober.
The road was blocked for several hours. Police officers, under the supervision of the prosecutor, inspected the scene. The cars were secured for further examination, and the corpses for autopsy. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Leżajsk.
