A resident of Lodz was trying very hard to pass his driving test. It only succeeded after 58 attempts. “I wasn’t jumping for joy, but I was glad to finally pass,” he says. The director of the Provincial Road Traffic Center in Łódź congratulated the man on his determination and emphasized that no one had ever approached the exam so persistently before.
Mr. Bogdan Matusiak from Łódź has been applying for a driving license since 2018. He passed his theory exam on the first try. Over the next few years, he had trouble passing the practical exam.

“I wasn’t jumping for joy, but I was happy”
– I had my first practical exam in 2019. At the maneuvering yard, I ran over the rope, hit the bollard and failed – says Mr. Bogdan at tvn24.pl. The 65-year-old man adds that subsequent exams also failed. Until Wednesday, February 15.
– I took the exam for the 58th time and finally the examiner said “you passed, the result is positive” – says the newly minted driver. – I wasn’t jumping for joy, but I was glad that I finally passed. Now I will go to my plot and to the water, about 100 kilometers from Łódź, adds the inhabitant of Łódź. Mr. Bogdan calculated that obtaining a driving license cost him ten thousand zlotys in total. – Each exam for PLN 140, I also bought additional hours for PLN 2,000, but in the end I have this coveted document – emphasizes the man.
