A policewoman from the police station in Lubaczów (Podkarpacie) was supposed to come to work “after drinking alcohol”. The woman came by car. She was tested with a breathalyser and – after finding alcohol in the body – she was not allowed to serve.
According to Bartosz Wilk from the Press Team of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Rzeszów, the incident took place on Saturday (February 11) just after 2 pm.
– At the Poviat Police Headquarters in Lubaczów, as part of the supervision, the sobriety of a female officer starting her service was checked. It turned out that the policewoman had a small amount of alcohol in her exhaled air – informs Bartosz Wilk.
The police officer added that the alcohol test carried out showed that the police officer was in the state of “after using alcohol”.
She came by car, her driving license was suspended
The woman came to work that day by car. – Due to the suspicion of driving a car after using alcohol, her driving license was suspended – says Wilk and adds that “further activities will be carried out in the case”.
We talk about the state “after drinking” alcohol when its concentration in the body is between 0.2 and 0.5 per mille. Anyone who drives a vehicle in such a state commits an offense punishable by arrest, a fine of up to PLN 5,000 and temporary suspension of the driving license.
Bartosz Wilk confirmed in an interview with the tvn24.pl portal that the officer who came to work “after drinking alcohol” on Saturday is a spokeswoman for the local police.
