Multiple organ injuries were the cause of death of three teenagers who died in a car accident in Lublin. Experts during the autopsy took blood and tissue samples, they will check whether the young people were under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The 16-year-old, who was the only survivor of the accident, is still in the hospital.
The autopsy took place on Thursday, January 12 at the Forensic Medicine Department in Lublin. – The cause of death in all three was multiple organ injuries. We are waiting for a written opinion of an expert doctor in this case – Agnieszka Kępka, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin told the tvn24.pl portal.
During the autopsy, an expert pathologist took blood and tissue fragments from the dead teenagers. – It will determine whether people were under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident – prosecutor Kępka told us.
She added that the 16-year-old, who was the only survivor of the tragic accident, is still in the hospital under the constant care of doctors.
The car veered off the road and crashed into a pole. Three teenagers died
The tragic accident happened before midnight on January 5-6 on ul. John Paul II in Lublin. According to the police findings, an 18-year-old Audi A4 driver at the height of ul. Gesia suddenly lost control of the vehicle. The car broke through the energy-intensive barriers and crashed into a lighting pole and a trolleybus traction pole.
The 18-year-old driver, a 17-year-old passenger and a 16-year-old passenger died in the accident. The fourth person, a 16-year-old boy, was taken to the hospital in serious condition. It was established that the 18-year-old driving the car had had a driving license for several weeks.

Prosecutor Agnieszka Kępka also referred to a few-second video that was circulating online after the accident and, according to local media, was recorded shortly before the accident by one of the Audi passengers and then shared on social media. In the recording, one of the boys can be heard saying: – “If you die, it’s the day before Three Kings, ku …!”.
– The video has been secured. The prosecutor will check the veracity of this recording – said Kępka.
