The most beautiful thing that can happen in our country is for there to be as many foster families as possible, said actress Magdalena Różczka, ambassador of foster parenting, on TVN24. She announced that her Beloved foundation will be launched in January. – Next year will be a very breakthrough for me – she admitted.

– Fifteen years ago I gave birth to a tiny daughter and I thought that somewhere in the world there was a child who was born at the same time, a few kilometers away, but no one was waiting for her – confessed actress Magdalena Różczka, who was a guest of the program on Christmas Monday. “You get up and you know” on TVN24.. – Previously, I was not interested in this topic and as I became interested, I slowly started to see and know more and more – she added.

As she said, “the most beautiful thing that can happen in our country is for there to be as many foster families as possible.” – I keep my fingers crossed for them. Everyone I meet, all the foster families, are wonderful people. These are extremely important and needed people, she emphasized.

The actress said that “a child who, at some point in his life, for some reason, cannot be raised by his biological parents, and whose legal situation is not yet settled, cannot go up for adoption.” – So the only alternative to institutional foster care, i.e. the so-called orphanage, is a foster family, i.e. at least one loving adult who has found a place in his heart, at home, to take care of someone else – she explained.

As she said, still few people know that there is such a thing as family orphanages. – Few people know that you can become a foster parent without being married, and few people even know what it all looks like – she noted.

Charity calendar

This year, the actress once again co-created a charity calendar with the Adoptive Family Foundation. It contains 12 photos by Piotr Ambroziak, depicting children and outstanding Polish actresses and actors. In the photos, apart from Magdalena Różczka, we can also see Antoni Pawlicki, Michał Żebrowski, Anna Dereszowska, Agnieszka Dygant, Maja Ostaszewska, Rafał Królikowski, Mateusz Rusin, Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Małgorzata Socha, Bartłomiej Topa, Karolina Gorczyca and Aleksandra Domańska.

Różczka emphasized that all proceeds will be allocated to supporting FASada. – This is a place in Warsaw, on Płatnicza Street, where any foster or adoptive parent can seek help. They started operating as a diagnostic and therapeutic point, and are currently expanding their activities. There is a huge kitchen and a table where people who are in a similar situation can meet and talk, so-called support groups where children can come and play or go to therapy, they get toys there. They are working more and more vigorously to support foster families, so that these families do not feel lonely, but so that they know that someone is thinking about them and someone cares about them – said the actress.

“One Tiny World Saved”

Różczka said that a few days before Christmas she received a call from a friend who is an adoptive mother.

– She and her husband already have several children at home, biological and adoptive, and they have just learned about a tiny, two-week-old girl who is in the hospital, has FAS, i.e. fetal alcohol syndrome, and is tiny. I heard on the phone that no one wanted her, that she would stay in the hospital for Christmas, she said.

Thanks to the help of the actress and the MAIO foundation, which trains foster families, the girl was cared for by good people and she spent Christmas not in the hospital, but in a loving home.

– This is one tiny world saved for me. I think that ultimately this girl will be adopted, if possible, but the fact that she is home for Christmas is a great, great happiness for me – admitted the actress.

“Next year will be a very breakthrough for me”

The actress has been involved in charity work for over a dozen years. – Everyone has been asking me for fifteen years what I will do with all this and whether I want to be a volunteer for the rest of my life. I have been running away from the responsibility of doing a project from A to Z on my own for a long time, and at this moment I have just decided that next year will be a very breakthrough for me – said Różczka.

Her foundation, which will be called U Kochani, will be launched in January. – We will support foster parenting in various ways – explained the actress. She added that she would be looking for people who would like to help with her. – I am waiting for your applications and I have been working since January – she announced.
