The CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team) of the Scientific and Academic Computer Network (CSIRT) announced that it is noticing a new campaign impersonating a government website that allows you to verify the driver’s credentials. – The creation of another website imitating a government website in terms of appearance and functionality was identified. Data verification was to be possible after logging into the mObywatel application, NASK reported. She added that the criminals’ goal is to extort login details for the mObywatel application through a fake login panel.
Offensive of scammers
On Tuesday, a warning was also issued by the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime (CBZC) regarding fake e-mails allegedly from the office. The authors of this campaign are trying to extort the confidential data of Poles by scaring them that someone is trying to extort personal data through allegedly installed illegal software.
