The foreigners, even though they worked in one of the companies in Mława, had expired visas and invalidated residence cards.

The officers carried out checks on the legality of stay on Monday, April 22, in the Mława district, checking a total of 95 foreigners.

The detained foreigners are citizens of Indonesia, Nepal, India and Kyrgyzstan who worked in one of the production companies on a daily basis. None of the detained men had the required document that would authorize him to legally stay and work in Poland. – Three Indonesian citizens did not leave the territory of the Republic of Poland after the voivode refused to grant a temporary residence permit, just like a Kyrgyz citizen who used up the permissible period of stay. The remaining men had invalid visas or invalidated Lithuanian and Maltese residence cards. Additionally, one of the Nepalese citizens had an invalid Croatian visa with territorial restrictions, so when he decided to come to Poland from Croatia, he crossed the state border contrary to the regulations – explained Dagmara Bielec, spokeswoman for the Nadwiślański Border Guard Unit.

She added that administrative proceedings were initiated against all detainees to oblige them to return, which ended with the issuance of such a decision in nine cases.
