A ram believed to be accountable for killing an aged couple has been shot {dead} by New Zealand police.
The pair, of their 80s, have been discovered {dead} by their son in a paddock connected to their residence in Waitakere, rural West Auckland, the New Zealand Herald reported.
He had grown involved after not listening to from them within the morning, a household spokesperson stated.
Police attended the scene at 7.30am native time and confirmed the ram was within the paddock on the time of their go to.
The nation’s power stated in a press release: “One other celebration on the scene suffered a minor damage after being attacked by this ram.”
It added that its officers have been “confronted and approached” by the ram.

Dean Burrell, a relative, advised the Herald the couple had “each misplaced their lives in a tragic accident”.
“They’re good individuals. They’re over 80. They do not deserve this,” Mr Burrell stated.
“Everybody’s in shock as to what’s occurred. They’re very upset. I really feel like I used to be dreaming it really, it was a little bit of shock, being advised what had occurred and I simply did not imagine it.”

Mr Burrell’s father had phoned him to inform him the information and he got here to the scene to “assist [his] cousins and the broader household”.
