Kim Ki Nam, former head of the North Korean propaganda apparatus, has died. His activities supported the three dictators ruling North Korea, including the current leader of the regime, Kim Jong Un. He was 94 years old.
Kim Ki Nam died on Tuesday at the age of 94, North Korean state media reported on Wednesday. Nam was one of North Korea's longest-serving officials. He was part of a group of loyal officials who worked for three generations of Kims: Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-il and Kim Jong-un.
He was also one of the few North Korean officials to visit South Korea, leading a funeral delegation 15 years ago after the death of South Korean President Kim Jung. Nam became deputy head of the propaganda department in 1966. 19 years later, he began to run this ministry himself. He retired seven years ago.
