On Saturday, on the provincial road number 618, near Olszanka near Wyszków, the driver of a passenger car hit a tree.
The police were on site. – A 22-year-old resident of the Wyszków poviat driving towards Pułtusk did not adjust the speed to the road conditions and while overtaking he lost control of the BMW, drove to the right side of the road, where he hit a tree with the back of the car. A 20-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital. The driver was sober – said Damian Wroczyński from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Wyszków.
Traffic police officers explain the course and circumstances of the incident. The forensic technician inspected the scene of the road accident, the car, and prepared accident sketches. The officers also interviewed witnesses to the incident.
The road was blocked in both directions during the operation. “Be careful and follow the instructions of the services” – the uniform appealed.
Police urge you to be careful while driving
– When driving a vehicle, remember that the speed limit does not always mean a safe speed. A safe speed is a speed adapted to the prevailing conditions, i.e. traffic intensity, applicable speed limits, weather, surface condition, and above all, one’s own skills – stressed Wroczyński.
