Oscars 2023. The American Film Academy announced on Tuesday the list of nominees for the jubilee 95th edition of the Oscars. The film “IO” by Jerzy Skolimowski was among the nominees. The most – 11 – nominations went to Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s “Everywhere at Once”.
The 95th Academy Awards of the Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of America (AMPAS, also known as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences) will take place in March. On Tuesday, we got to know the list of nominated films, actresses, actors, directors, directors and other filmmakers, which was presented by Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams.

Everything Everywhere At Once, directed by the duo “the Daniels”, i.e. Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, received 11 nominations, including the most important category – best picture. Also in this category were: “Same in the West”, “Elvis”, “The Fabelmans”, “Avatar: The Thing of Water”, “Inisherin Ghosts”, “Tar”, “Top Gun: Maverick”, “In a Triangle” and “With one voice”.

As previously reported by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, 301 titles qualified for the Oscars in the Best Picture category this year. In the category of the best international film, submissions from 93 countries were accepted.
The 95th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, March 12 at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre. It will be hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel, who previously hosted the Oscars in 2017 and 2018. The ceremony will start at 2:00 am on the night of March 12/13 Polish time. According to preliminary estimates, the broadcast of the gala will reach 200 countries and dependent territories around the world.
