On Sunday evening, the residents of Ostrołęka informed the police that a “dangerous driver” was traveling on national road number 53. Reporters reported that he was unable to keep track, causing a threat to other road users, and his car had a damaged wheel and a broken bumper. Police patrols from Myszyniec and Łyse were sent to the scene and noticed a Volkswagen standing on the road from a distance of several hundred meters – it turned out that witnesses had blocked its road.

– At some point, one of the men started running away. When the police arrived at the scene, they gave chase. After several dozen meters, the man was detained and overpowered. He turned out to be a 39-year-old resident of Przasnysz County. The man “exhaled” more than two per mille of alcohol. He also had a suspended driving license and a court ban on driving motor vehicles, said Commissioner Tomasz Żerański, spokesman for the Ostrołęka police.
