Szymon Hołownia, the leader of Poland 2050, spoke in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 about the variant in which the opposition can go to the parliamentary elections. – On one list we do not earn enough to be sure that we will remove PiS from power, this is a risky idea – he said. In his opinion, “fixing yourself on one list is a complete dead end today.” He also said when his party would make a decision on “how to prepare tactically for the elections.”
Simon Holownia he spoke in “Kropka nad i” about what the political balance of power might look like for the upcoming parliamentary elections, which will take place in the fall. – In February, our group will make a directional decision on how to prepare tactically for the elections – he informed.
When asked about the variant in which the opposition would go to the elections together, he said that “this is a myth that we often use, which is supposed to solve certain things that it does not do at all.”
Hołownia: fixating on one opposition list is a dead end today
“On one list, we don’t make enough money to make sure we’re out PIS from power, this is a risky idea, continued the leader of Poland 2050. He emphasized that “the point is not to leave a single opposition voter at home.” In his opinion, “fixing yourself on one list is a complete dead end today.”
Hołownia also said that the opposition’s start from one list may cause the risk that part of the electorate will not go to the elections. He said that research shows that “10 percent of opposition voters are demobilized by one list.”
At the same time, he added that “all scenarios are on the table”.

Hołownia: the opposition should be Kaczyński’s nightmare
Hołownia emphasized that the priority before the elections – regardless of the opposition’s arrangement – was to find a program agreement. – I have been saying for a year and a half that we need to get along programmatically – he said. At the same time, he argued that “he treats all partners in the opposition equally.”
The guest of “Kropki nad i” also assessed that the opposition must solve its own problems and disputes, and not attack each other.
– The opposition should not be an opposition for which Kaczyński could thank God, it should be Kaczyński’s nightmare, settling him for all these things, like “plus villas”, like what is happening with heat bills at the moment – he continued.
– I have the impression that what is happening today (…), that these are diseases that need to be cured and it is good that we are curing them now, not after taking power – he added. “Now we can get over it and we can come out of it wiser.” If we draw wise conclusions from this, we will deal with it now, not later. Then it will be fatal, ”he said.
Hołownia Prime Minister? “I will not shirk this responsibility”
The leader of Poland 2050 – when asked if he would like to be prime minister – emphasized that “every party leader should take this into account and want to be prime minister”.
– If it is the will of the voters, I will not shirk this responsibility, but I am a pragmatic person and I know that it may be the result of how these elections will turn out – he continued. – I will be prime minister or I will not be, and I will accept all realities as long as there is reasonable cooperation – assured Szymon Hołownia.
