A Romanian court on Friday announced the extension of the police detention of controversial influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan. The men will remain in custody until at least February 27. Investigators accuse Andrew Tate of rape, human trafficking and creating an organized crime group.
The Romanian court announced the extension of the detention of Tate and his brother on January 20. In Romania an investigation is underway against both men, the subject of which are sexual assaults allegedly committed by Americans.
Andrew Tate arrested
Andrew Tate was arrested on December 29 in Romania on charges of rape, trafficking and forming an organized crime group. His brother and two women who were supposed to help him recruit women to work in the porn industry were detained with him. Tate gained notoriety for his misogynistic comments and online hate speech.
