The military expert said that although the Russian Federation currently has a numerical advantage, Ukrainian defense forces are “constantly and systematically working to find means to inflict as much damage as possible to the enemy.”

– The goal is not so much to shoot down a certain number of Russian planes that will be on the ground, but rather creation of an asymmetric air defense system. They say that if we lack long-range air defense systems that could shoot down Russian planes during attacks, then we need to make them afraid of flying – he spoke on the Ukrainian TV station Espreso.

In the opinion of Ivan Kyryczewski Ukraine is achieving its first successes in this matter, which will still be continued. – Then it will turn out that not only individual planes will cease to operate, but rather individual regiments of the Russian air force they will hesitate to perform combat missions on orders from Moscow, he emphasized.

At the same time, the expert noted that although such actions should not be expected to bring results on a larger scale, “an exciting new story awaits us, perhaps even more interesting than the drone attack on Russian refineries.”

Russia. Military airports targeted by Ukrainian attacks

Drones attacked Rostov-on-Don on the night from Thursday to Friday. The target was a military airport Morozovsk. A military analyst nicknamed “MT Anderson”, cited by the Euromaidan Press website, said that the day before the Ukrainian drone attack, there may have even been 30 Russian planesincluding 26 fighter-bombers Su-34 and three multi-role fighters Su-30/35.
