The prosecutor’s office launched an investigation into a fatal hit-and-run last Saturday on the S7 route in Sławno near Radom. – The man was sitting on a busy route – said the spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Radom, Agnieszka Borkowska.

The accident happened on Saturday at approx. 5.30 on S7, at the height of the village of Sławno in the commune of Wolanów. The 39-year-old Mazda driver, driving the S7 expressway towards Krakow, hit a pedestrian. The man died on the spot. As sergeant Kamil Warda from the Radom police said, the uniforms determined the identity of the victim. He is a 46-year-old resident of the Wolanów commune.

– Initial findings show that the man was sitting on the road and then he was hit by a Mazda – said the spokeswoman for the prosecutor’s office. She added that immediately after the accident, an inspection of the scene was carried out under the supervision of the prosecutor, and the first witnesses were interviewed. An autopsy on the victim is scheduled for Tuesday. Investigators also determine under what circumstances the man found himself in the middle of a busy road.

The investigation is conducted by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Przysucha.
