Two Polish cavers found the body of a man in the Golokratna cave in southwestern Slovenia. On Saturday, rescuers managed to recover the body, the Slovenian STA news agency reported.
The body was found on Friday evening, but due to difficult conditions, the body could only be brought to the surface the next day – said members of the local cave rescue center. 13 mountain rescuers participated in the several-hour-long operation.
The body belonged to a middle-aged man. The deceased did not have speleological or mountaineering equipment with him.

The local civil defense commander said that the deceased did not accompany the Polish cavers, and no missing people were reported in the area. The case was taken over by the investigating police.
