Szczecin. Citizen's arrest of a drunk driver

A gas station employee in the Pogodno district of Szczecin smelled the odor of alcohol from a driver who came to use the car wash. The policemen called to the scene tested the man with a breathalyzer – he had over one and a half permille. The resident of Szczecin lost his driving license and the car was towed to the parking lot.

Szczecin police received a report from one of the employees of a gas station in the Pogodno district. He became concerned when he smelled alcohol coming from one of the drivers who came to the car wash.

“He wanted to buy a token for a car vacuum cleaner at the cash register. The station employee informed the customer that the vacuum cleaner was broken and did not hand over the tokens. During the conversation, he smelled alcohol on his breath,” we read in the police statement.

The police patrol that arrived at the site confirmed the station employee's suspicions. A breathalyzer test showed that the 64-year-old from Szczecin had over one and a half per mille of alcohol in his body. The man lost his driving license and was detained and his car was towed to the parking lot.
