On Sunday, a fatal accident occurred in the area of Orla Perć in the Tatra Mountains. A tourist who was led by a Tatra guide along with her group died. TOPR rescuers transported the woman’s body to Zakopane by helicopter – said the TOPR rescuer on duty.
According to the rescuer on duty of the Tatra Volunteer Search and Rescue (TOPR) on Sunday, the tourist fell into the Buczynowa Valley from the area of Poręna Sieczkowa Przelączka.
– The fall from a height was caused by a trip. The woman then rolled into the exposure, where she could not stop, said the rescuer on duty. He noted that this is an area that requires attention and concentration as well as appropriate protection. – Due to multi-organ injuries, the tourist died on the spot – he added. He pointed out that the woman was walking in a larger group led by a third-class Tatra guide.

It’s sunny in the Tatra Mountains on Sunday. According to the Tatra National Park services, conditions for tourism there are good. In the higher parts of the mountains it is slippery in the morning, especially in shaded places and gullies. At times there is a strong wind in the ridge areas.
