A total of 30 charges were heard by six people suspected of drug crimes, including smuggling 146 kg of heroin. They were supposed to smuggle it in construction boards transported from the Arab Emirates.

It all started in May 2020 when officers CBSP they stopped the car with Dutch registration numbers. They found 15 plastic bags with dried plants, amphetamine and MDMA tablets. A resident of the Tri-City heard allegations of drug smuggling and was arrested.

It was established that the detained man, together with other residents of Pomerania, was to be employed in the transport of Iranian building slabs with heroin hidden inside, organized in March 2020. Containers with cargo shipped in the United Arab Emirates, which were to be delivered to Gdynia, were detained in the Hamburg port by officers of the German Customs Investigation Office in Hamburg, cooperating with CBÅšP officers and CASH.

The goods declared in the documents were to be manufactured in Iran gypsum cardboard plates.

After a thorough check, it turned out that there was an “extra” charge hidden in the gypsum boards. The officers found a total of 146 kg of heroin with a black market wholesale value of over PLN 13 million, and a retail value of over PLN 30 million. Investigative findings show that the cargo was sent by a Pole on behalf of a Turkish criminal group from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, said the spokesperson of the Central Police Investigation Bureau, subinsp. Iwona Jurkiewicz.

Three inhabitants of Pomerania were to be the recipients of the drugs.

Six people heard 30 charges

– In November 2020, two men were detained in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. One of them was brought from the detention center – said subinsp. Jurkiewicz.

The suspects heard allegations of participation in an organized criminal group and related to trading in large amounts of narcotics. In addition, one of the detainees is suspected of leading an organized criminal group.

In total, six people were accused in the case, and the acts covered by the indictment concern 30 charges, including directing and participating in an organized criminal group, as well as providing, possessing and smuggling large amounts of drugs. Four of them were temporarily arrested.

Smugglers face up to 15 years in prison.
