The package of solutions regarding housing is still being consulted and may reach the Sejm at the end of June – said Deputy Minister of Development and Technology Jacek Tomczak on the sidelines of the European Economic Congress in Katowice.
Tomczak was asked about the date of submitting the package of solutions for housing to the Sejm. – I think that we can realistically talk about the end of June – said the deputy minister.
The stage of work on a package of solutions for housing
– We are collecting all comments, consulting this project, we are already at the final stage. We announced that each government project will be widely consulted, with all chambers of commerce, consumer representatives and associations, said Deputy Minister Tomczak.
He added that the project is subject to very wide consultations to take into account many opinions.
– So that – taking into account broad opinions on the market – he could participate in the work of the Sejm – he said.
Tomczak pointed out that the Ministry of Development and Technology takes into account comments received on an ongoing basis and that the project will introduce a number of changes.
– We are open to all comments, we take them into account on an ongoing basis, the project will be long-term, which is its advantage, it will be possible to forecast investments over the years – he said.
Package of solutions for housing. What will it contain?
– This is the whole package, there is a part regarding social and municipal construction, extending many projects of housing policy elements, pro-supply solutions, abolishing various absurd provisions blocking housing investments – said Tomczak.
He added that the ministry must take into account a number of changes that are important, primarily from the perspective of families.
– The project responds to one of the main problems today: many people cannot afford loans that are too expensive. He gives a hand to those who have lower incomes. It is a social project intended to support families, especially those who have children – creditworthiness decreases with the number of children – said the deputy minister.
At the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Development and Technology presented the Mieszkanie na start program, which is to be one of the three elements of a package of solutions for housing. The program includes, among others: subsidies for preferential loans for the first apartment.
