Ukraine. Attack on Kramatorsk, casualties. Teenage twins died

Among the victims of Tuesday’s Russian attack on Kramatorsk are 14-year-old twins – Julia and Anna. In a Telegram post, the city council expressed its condolences to the girls’ parents, declaring that “a Russian rocket has stopped the heartbeats of two angels.”

On Tuesday evening, the Russians attacked Kramatorsk with rockets, hitting a restaurant and a residential area. “So far, rescuers have extracted the bodies of ten people from the rubble,” Weronika Bahal, a spokeswoman for the local emergency services, told Ukrainian television.

Children are among the dead and injured. The services reported that two 14-year-old twins died. A 17-year-old girl also died. The injuries were An 8-month-old baby whose life is not in danger.

The authorities of Kramatorsk also informed about the death of teenage sisters – Julia and Anna. In a Telegram post, the city council expressed its condolences to the girls’ parents, declaring that “a Russian rocket has stopped the heartbeats of two angels.”

Three Colombian citizens were injured

The BBC reported that three Colombians were injured in the attack, including writer and journalist Hector Abad. The Colombians suffered minor injuries, while the Ukrainian writer who accompanied them is in a serious condition. Her name was not released at the request of the family.

At the time of the attack, a pizzeria in a popular shopping district was full of journalists, volunteers and soldiers, SkyNews reported, citing Belgian reporter Arnaud de Decker. The restaurant was famous in the city – foreign journalists and delegations often ate there.

Rescue and search works at the impact site are still in progress. There may still be people under the rubble, the services inform.

Two missiles fell on Kramatorsk. According to the Ukrainska Pravda portal, an S-300 rocket hit the premises. The Attorney General, in turn, announced that it could have been a rocket fired from the Iskander launcher.
