Ukraine. Attack on Sevastopol. They found the “oldest ship”

Ukrainian Navy damaged the world's oldest ship, being equipped with any army.

The command confirmed the strike on the Russian “Kommuna” unit stationed at the military base in Sevastopol, Crimea.

The Ukrainians used rockets to attack port war. The Russians previously reported that they had thwarted the attack, but it is already known that their ship suffered serious damage. The Ukrainian Navy does not yet know the details of the damage.

“Today in Crimea, the Ukrainian Navy hit another ship belonging to the Black Sea Fleet Russia – “Commune”. The nature of the damage is being determined“- wrote a spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy on social media Dmytro Płetenczuk.

The Ukrainian officer emphasized that the hit ship is certainly not currently capable of performing combat missions. “This will continue until the Russians run out of ships or until they get out of Crimea,” he added.

The Ukrainians were to fire an anti-ship cruise missile towards the port city R-360 Neptune. Russian air defense shot down the missile, but its fragments caused a fire on board the Kommuna. Head of the occupation authorities of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozaev he assured that the fire was quickly extinguished.

The ship “Kommuna” was built in 1912. It is not a combat unit, but it supported the Black Sea Fleet. It served as a rescue ship for submarines. The Russians used it to investigate the site of the sinking of their flagship serving in the Black Sea, i.e cruiser “Moscow” – also sunk by Ukrainians.

Already Crimea outbreaks are regularly reported. In the case of Ukrainian attacks using missiles and drones, the Russian occupation administration usually reports that the explosions are the result of air defense operations or the effective destruction of incoming drones.
