Ukraine, shelling of Zaporozhye, an eight-month-old girl with her parents among the victims

The death toll of the Russian shelling of Zaporozhye, during which a missile fell on a residential house, has risen to 13. Earlier, Ukrainian services reported 11 victims. Rescuers said on Sunday that they had recovered two more bodies from under the rubble of the collapsed building.

Among the 13 dead is an eight-month-old baby. The girl died with her parents. Eleven people survived, the Ukrinform news agency reported.

The Russians shelled civilian objects in Zaporizhia on Wednesday night. An S-300 missile hit a five-story residential house. Three floors in one of the risers of the building, with 10 apartments, were destroyed. A search and rescue operation has been underway since Thursday.

Ukrainian services said in a Sunday announcement that over 853 tons of construction debris had been removed. Psychological help was provided to over 100 residents of the building and relatives of the victims.
