A Georgia grand jury has found that there was no large-scale fraud during the 2020 US presidential election, a partial report released on Thursday found. The investigation was conducted into attempts by then US President Donald Trump to review the election results.

The report published in part is the fruit of a two-year investigation into the efforts Donald Trumpto change the outcome of the Georgia election, including demanding that he “find the 11,780 votes” that the then-president needed to win.

The panel of jurors unanimously judged that, contrary to Trump’s claims, there was no widespread electoral fraud in the state. A majority of jurors also voted to direct the prosecutor’s office to charge people who had lied under oath. The limited public report did not reveal the identities of the suspects. During the investigation, jurors interviewed more than 75 witnesses, including former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.

The final decision on whether to file charges rests with the Fulton County State’s Attorney’s Office, which received the full report, along with the names of the perjury suspects. District Chief Fanni Willis said she would announce charges soon.

Investigators, apart from the case of Trump’s pressure, also investigated the harassment of election commission employees by his supporters and the organization of fake electors who were supposed to send “alternative” vote certificates to Congress in key states.
