We received the first information about this event on Kontakt 24. The editorial office was contacted by a man who claims that around 1 p.m. there was a shooting near a grocery store of a well-known chain on Lucerny Street in Warsaw. He added that he had seen an anti-terrorist brigade in action.
As the reporter of tvnwarszawa.pl, Mateusz Szmelter, found out, the police are working at the intersection of Lucerna and Kwidzyńska. – There are several unmarked police cars on site. Masked officers conduct operations. A tow truck arrived at the site to take the Ford Focus parked here, reports Szmelter.
Witnesses interviewed by our reporter claim that earlier officers surrounded a group of people near the store. They also said shots were fired. According to their accounts, the police also used stun grenades and smoke bombs. – The policemen led a man in handcuffs out of the building at the intersection of Lucerny and Kwidzynska and placed him in one of the unmarked police cars – described Szmelter.
We asked the Capital Police Headquarters about the action on Lucerny Street. – I confirm, our policemen are working in this place. This is our only comment on this matter – said Piotr Krat from KSP.
