Warsaw. Anna Rochowska won the competition for the director of TR Warszawa

As Jóźwik wrote on Facebook, “the program concept presented by the candidate is coherent, multi-level, interesting and well planned – this is the justification for the decision to choose Anna Rochowska.”

He also pointed out that Anna Rochowska is a theater educator, associated with TR Warszawa since 1996. She is a member of the Association of Theater Educators, a graduate of the Theater Studies Department of the Theater Academy in Warsaw, a course for Theater Educators TiSZ/Anex organized by the Theater Institute of Zbigniew Raszewski in Warsaw and Postgraduate Studies for Cultural Managers at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw, PhD student at IS PAN.

Earlier on tvnwarszawa.pl we wrote that people interested in the job had to meet a number of requirements. They included, among others: higher education, at least five years of experience in creating theater projects, working in a cultural institution or a non-governmental organization in the field of culture, as well as at least five years of experience in team management. Along with the application, it was necessary to prepare a five-year theater program.

“The competition announcement emphasized that TR Warszawa should appreciate the achievements of the best artists associated with it and look for new forms of expression and communication with the audience and address socially important topics. In addition, the theater’s repertoire activities are to be addressed primarily to the Warsaw audience and people visiting Warsaw” – indicated the town hall in competition announced in October last year.

The ordinance also stipulated that the activities of TR Warszawa in the years 2023-2028 were to focus on the stage at Marszałkowska 8 (ultimately, the seat of the theater would be located at the Museum of Modern Art on Plac Defilad).
