There is an indictment against Sławomir O., suspected of deliberately running over a dog with a car. The animal was playing with the owner on a dirt road in Ursynów when it was hit. According to witnesses, the 62-year-old driver did it intentionally. The animal did not survive the accident.

We reported on this in August last year. The quadruped was hit near Zięby Street in Ursynów. According to police findings, the owner took his cocker spaniel for an afternoon walk and took him where the dogs were allowed to run free. It was a green area near a dirt road. Suddenly, a car appeared on the road.

– People who walked animals in this place, not for the first time, saw that the man sitting behind the wheel of a passenger car disregards the fact that people with dogs walk by the road and on it, and he always accelerated there. So they reacted quickly and took their dogs. However, the injured party did not make it – reported Robert Koniuszy, press officer of the Warsaw II District Police Headquarters.

The dog could not be saved

The police officer added that, according to eyewitness accounts, the driver of the Peugeot saw a Cocer Spaniel on the side of the road, but accelerated the car and deliberately hit it. – All unanimously say that he did it on purpose. He stopped only after a few dozen meters. He went out, looked at the suffering animal, exchanged a few words with the owner, and drove away unfazed. The dog’s owner ran over to him. The animal was clearly in great pain. One of the women offered to help take the dog to the vet. Despite many efforts to save his life, he could not be saved. The injuries were too extensive, Koniuszy informed.
