Dangerous weather conditions have been prevailing in Poland for several days. Friday will bring us a significant deterioration of the already violent weather. Synoptic tvnmeteo.pl Damian Zdonek reported that 50 liters of rain per square meter may fall on this day, and hail may have a diameter of up to 5 centimeters.

As the weather forecaster at tvnmeteo.pl Damian Zdonek explained, on the night of Thursday to Friday, a low pressure system with a system of atmospheric fronts will enter Poland from the west, which will bring with it a zone of rainfall and thunderstorms. During the day, the front system will move from the west to the east of the country with variable intensity, followed by cooler air.

Particularly violent phenomena may occur in the central and southern regions of the country, where storms will be accompanied by downpours of up to 40-50 liters of rain per square meter and gusty winds. The forecaster said flooding and flooding could occur there. In addition, local discharges may be accompanied by hail with a diameter of up to 3-5 centimeters.

IMGW threat forecast for Friday

As forecast by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, meteorological alerts may be issued on Friday in most parts of the country. Second degree warnings (on a three-level increasing scale) against thunderstorms with hail are forecast in the following provinces:

First degree hail storm warnings may apply in the following provinces:

Lublinin all counties except those covered by the forecast of higher level alerts;

West Pomeranianin the east of the region.

In two regions – province Greater Poland and Lodz – Level 1 thunderstorm warnings may be issued. in the province Lesser Poland heat alerts will also be active for most of the day.
