The 63-year-old was speeding along the A1 motorway at a speed of 224 km/h. He was tracked down by policemen from Świecie (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship). The driver was fined PLN 2,500 and fifteen penalty points.
Last Sunday, February 19, police officers from Świecie patrolled a section of the A1 motorway in the afternoon rush hour using a police car equipped with a video recorder.
Commissioner Joanna Tarkowska, press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Świecie, informed that during the inspection of the Grudziądz section of the road, the police detained a 63-year-old resident of the Kartuzy poviat, driving a Mercedes car.
He was driving over 220 km/h
“The measurement carried out showed that he exceeded the speed limit, driving 224 km / h on the section where the limit is 140” – informed the policewoman.

She added that the driver was fined PLN 2.5 thousand and 15 penalty points. The policewoman said that the 63-year-old explained his irresponsible behavior by haste.
