The tragic accident in the Swiss Alps occurred on Tuesday. Local police reported that the helicopter carrying the guide and tourists to the point where skiers were transported crashed.
Three people died in the accident and another three were injured.

The regional police of the canton of Valais said authorities had launched an investigation into why the light helicopter slid off a landing zone on a slope near the Petit Combin peak. The prosecutor's office and local and national police will investigate the accident.
According to “The Guardian”, there were a pilot, a mountain guide and four tourists on board. Their identities have not been revealed.
Seven rescue helicopters were dispatched to the scene. Emergency services quickly managed to rescue two people and transport them to a nearby hospital. After some time, another person was also saved.
Tragedy in the Alps. The avalanche carried away three skiers
This is another tragedy in the Alps in just two days. On Monday, skiers were hit by an avalanche near the Riffelberg cable car station on Zermatt. Before 22, the Reuters agency, citing the services' announcement, reported that three people died and one was injured. The search operation for any remaining people trapped under the snow was then suspended.
Four helicopters took part in the search for the skiers. A Valais police spokesman said there was a rescue operation in the area a lot of snow, which hampered the services' operations.
The local authorities warned tourists about the current avalanche danger. “Very large, and in some cases very large, sudden avalanches” – reported the Swiss Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research.
