During Easter, dust from the Sahara will reach us with the inflow of warm air from northern Africa. According to tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek, you will be able to observe a yellow coating covering the objects, especially after rainfall.

On Friday, a weakly active warm front moves over Poland, marked only by layered, thin clouds through which the sun shines.

– This “milk” in the sky means that warm air is starting to flow towards us. Its source area is North Africa, the Sahara desert – said tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-PyzioĹ‚ek. With the inflow of warm air, dust from the Sahara will reach us.

A portion of desert dust is expected to reach Poland on Saturday, along with another portion of warm air flowing from the south, from the region of Algeria, Tunisia and Libya. According to the tvnmeteo.pl forecaster, the first particles are to appear over Poland, first over the southwestern part of the country, and then gradually cover the entire sky over our country.

On Easter Sunday, the strongest dust concentration is forecast over southern and eastern Poland, where the inflow of African air will also be the strongest. This is where the strongest heat impact is expected. To the west, as polar air pushes in from the Atlantic, dust concentrations in the atmosphere will decrease.

On Monday, as the atmospheric front advances into the country and with rainfall, dust will be washed out of the air, but there will still be a large amount of it ahead of the front, over eastern Poland. In places, the rain will be tinted yellow-orange.

According to the weather forecaster, the concentration of dust over Poland will not be as strong as over the Mediterranean Sea, but in places you will be able to easily observe a yellow coating covering objects, especially after rainfall.

When will he leave Poland?

On Tuesday, as air circulation changes from southern to western, Saharan dust will stop reaching Poland.
