The match was played at Suche Stawy by the team assembled by Steve Harris and representatives of the Canpack company. – The choice of the rival was not accidental, because Canpack is a supplier of cans and caps for beer signed by Iron Maiden – explained the marketing director of Hutnik Kraków, Marcin Kądziołka.

In the Iron Maiden team, next to the team leader, his son George Harris and a former representative appeared Scotland Colin Hendry. Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith watched the sideline meeting. The match lasted the full 90 minutes and ended in a goalless draw.

After the game, representatives of the club’s board of directors presented Steve Harris with a club shirt with his name on it. – An interesting fact is that this is a shirt for the 2023/24 season – explained the president of Hutnik, Artur Trębacz. – So Steve Harris became the first owner of our match kits for the new season. Thus, our new matches were presented in the most original way possible – he noted.

Iron Maiden performed on Tuesday in the hall of the Tauron Arena filled to the brim. Due to the huge fan interest, a second concert is also planned for Wednesday evening at the same venue.

Musicians of the British group are known for unusual activities during their tours. Their most famous “prank” in Poland was recorded during the tour in 1984 in Poznań.
