A six-year-old boy was hit by a car on ul. Traugutt in Gdańsk. The child was hospitalized. The reasons for the incident are being clarified by the police. Preliminary investigations indicate that the accident occurred when the driver of the passenger car was avoiding the truck.
The accident happened on Wednesday, January 11 at ul. Traugutt in the Gdańsk district of Wrzeszcz. According to the duty officer of the Command Post of the Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service, senior captain Adam Wysocki, the services received a report about hitting a child around 7.

Police: the driver avoided the truck, the six-year-old entered the road
– Preliminary findings show that a 40-year-old driver of a passenger car, bypassing a truck, hit a six-year-old boy who entered the road – said subinsp. Magdalena Ciska, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Gdańsk.
She stated that the driver was sober and had a driving license.
Firefighters and policemen were at the scene. The boy, according to the police officer, was taken to the hospital.
