All families found donors, and all gifts should be in the right hands by the evening. And this is no miracle, because behind the “Weekend of Miracles” of Szlachetna Paczka there is a real army of people of good will. Thanks to them, these small and larger dreams were able to come true again.

During the “Weekend of Miracles”, gifts also reached Mrs. Małgorzata, who is a retiree and whose dream was a supply of food and a warm jacket. From the PLN 1,100 pension – apart from living expenses – Mrs. Małgorzata repays her son’s loan. She has PLN 6 a day left to live on.

The volunteers reached Mrs. Małgorzata on their own, looking for people who need support. – We knocked on the door and she opened the door, we talked and it turned out that she was a very wonderful woman who, despite the fact that her situation was very difficult, was coping – says Maria Wierzbicka, a volunteer of Szlachetna Paczka.

Lenka’s single mother is also trying to cope with everyday life and asked donors for a new oven. On Saturday, volunteers delivered it along with a pass for Lenka’s classes ordered by the doctor. – She will be able to attend classes, she will have classes at the swimming pool, she will have classes for children – says Mrs. Olga.

There are over 17,000 families who received support from Szlachetna Paczka during this year’s “Weekend of Miracles”. This is 1.5 thousand more than in 2022. – Mr. Tomasz received a chainsaw, thanks to which he will be able to simply return to work and earn money for his family. Mr. Marcin, in turn, is 36 years old and has suffered three strokes, during the last stroke he was saved by his son, little Wojtek, Wojtek is eight years old and they received a parcel with food – says Joanna Sadzik, president of the “Wiosna” Association, Szlachetna Paczka .

So much good

The Szlachetna Paczka volunteers selected the families based on reports from people and data from the Central Statistical Office on poverty. – I once found myself in a difficult life situation, I was assigned to a foster family, so my parents gave me a second chance at such a new life and I would like to pass this chance on – explains Klaudia Deja, a volunteer of Szlachetna Paczka in Poznań. – Sometimes, when we enter this data into the system and at the end we are shown the amount per family member, which is PLN 50 or PLN 100 per month, it is terrifying – admits Kamil Głąb, a volunteer of Szlachetna Paczka in Radomsko.
