An employee who, at the request of the administration of one of the houses in Grochów, was carrying out work in an outdoor gym and playground, left an electrical box open and an unsecured pit with sharp edges of cut metal.

On Tuesday afternoon, April 16, city guards from the 7th Regional Department received a call to the playground at Młądzka Street.

“The reason was a threat reported by one of the residents. In a place where children play every day, the officers found an open electrical box, a 70-centimeter-deep hole in the ground and sharp edges of a cut-out steel exercise device sticking out of it. They temporarily disabled this part square. Then they contacted the administration – says the Warsaw City Guard in a statement.

Threat removed

Suspicion immediately fell on the person who was ordered to repair the playground. As instructed, the employee removed the device requiring intervention.

“However, he did not think to secure the hole and the sharp edges of the base protruding from it in any way. Not to mention closing the electrical box he was using,” the message added.

An employee was urgently called to the site and properly secured the site.
