Marcin Kowalczyk has been appointed the new president of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe “Puławy” SA, while Paweł Bryda has been appointed vice-president, the company announced.
The Management Board of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe “Puławy” SA informed on Friday evening that the Supervisory Board appointed Marcin Kowalczyk to the Management Board at the meeting on February 10, entrusting him with the function of President of the Management Board upon the adoption of the resolution, and Paweł Bryda, entrusting him with the position of President of the Management Board as of the date of adoption of the resolution serving as vice president of the board.
They were appointed to the positions “for a joint three-year term of office starting from May 26, 2022”.
In mid-January, Tomasz Hryniewicz resigned from the position of President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe “Puławy”. Renata Tyszer also resigned from the position of vice-president.
Who are Marcin Kowalczyk and Paweł Bryda?
As reported in the Friday announcement, Marcin Kowalczyk and Paweł Bryda “do not conduct any other activity outside the company’s enterprise, which is competitive to the company’s activity, nor do they participate in a competitive company as partners in a civil law partnership, partnership, capital company and do not participate in competing legal person as members of its governing body.
Marcin Kowalczyk – as we read on the company’s website – “has a rich professional path, including work in public administration, as well as in commercial law companies”.
In his professional career, he has Deputy President of the Military Property Agency. He also worked as a manager at PGE Energia Odnawialna SA In 2018-2020, he was the vice-president of Wojskowe Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowe, and from May 2020 he was associated with PGE Dystrybucja SA, first as vice-president of the management board, and from September 2020 as president of the company. Recently, he worked at the Ministry of State Assets. Since July 2022, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of PZU Życie SA
In turn, Paweł Bryda in the period from May 2020 to February 2023 was associated with PGE Dystrybucja SA as director of the Organizational and Legal Department, and recently director of the Management Board Office. At PGE Dystrybucja SA, he also served as the Compliance Officer and was the company’s representative in the Social Dialogue Committee. In the years 2016-2020, he held functions in the management bodies of commercial law companies: as a member of the management board of Lubelski Park Naukowo-Technologiczny SA, president of the management board of Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Usług Komunalne w Świętochłowice Sp. z o. o., and previously the president of the management board of Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Gospodarki Komunalnej in Świętochłowice Sp. z o. o
Currently, from August 2022, Bryda is a member of the supervisory board of Jelcz Sp. z o. o
