A man performing a parachute jump fell on a farm building in Krzyczki-Żabiczki near Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. He was taken to the hospital by an air ambulance helicopter with serious injuries.
The town where the accident occurred is located near the Chrcynno airport. According to Gabriela Putyra from the Warsaw Police Headquarters, the report was received by the services around 12.30. “The male parachute jumper suffered an injury on landing,” the police officer said.
In addition to the police, three fire engines arrived at the scene. An air ambulance helicopter also landed.
– The man landed on the outbuilding. He was dangling from tangled parachute lines. He was conscious, but there was limited contact with him. The paratrooper suffered head, chest and internal injuries. He was taken to the hospital by a helicopter of the Polish Medical Air Rescue, said Paweł Plagowski from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. – Our actions consisted in securing the launch of the rescue helicopter – added the firefighter.
The cause of the accident will be clarified by the police.
